2020 – John Lynch Our Firm congratulates John P. Lynch for winning the Carlton F. Thompson/Sandford P. Tannenhaus Award this year. We are proud that the legal community has recognized John for the same outstanding ethical and professional conduct that we have been privileged to work with for so many years.
October 21, 2020 – John Lynch presented a legal update to the membership of the Southern Tier Chapter of ASBO New York covering paid leave for voting, the Juneteenth holiday, Superintendent hearing officer decisions and mandatory COVID-19 testing in “yellow zones.”
In a decision with potential statewide significance John Lynch successfully defended the Watkins Glen Central School District in a case brought by The New York State United teachers claiming the District’s re-opening plan violated executive orders when three of four teachers requesting remote teaching were denied. Each teacher was given another accommodation. The Court found in favor of the school district.
October 27, 2020 – Wendy K. DeWind will be presenting on “Student and Employee Mental Health” for the New York State School Boards Association – via Zoom.
June 2020, Wendy K. DeWind becomes President of the Broome County Bar Association.
